The journey of Hut Culture – The Living Hut continues with a new episode developed within the Tourism Eco‑Management course at the University of Turin.

This episode focuses on La Renclusa Refuge, located in the Pyrenees at the foot of the Maladeta massif, a key gateway to Aneto.

 

Rather than a simple travel narrative, the episode presents the refuge as a living socio‑ecological system where environmental management, logistics and hospitality practices interact under high‑mountain conditions.

The storytelling is evidence-based, combining research and observation of real operational practices, with an interview to Alberto Iglesias, a memeber of the new wardens team.

La Renclusa becomes a lens to explore broader sustainability challenges: resource management, climate adaptation, safety and operational continuity.
